Cleeve Common

Cleeve Common

Woodmancote nestles comfortably below Cleeve Common. The escarpment raises steeply from the lower slopes of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Within our Parish is the golf club pavilion where a weary traveller from the nearby Cotswold Way can stop and enjoy a drink and good food.

The eighteen hole golf course is a challenge, when the wind blows hard balls carry off in all directions and even back to the tee. The views from the Common are spectacular, on a good day you can see the black mountains, with the severn vale below.

The Common is run by a group of Conservators taken from the public and local Parish and Town Councils.

We are so lucky to have the Common so close and partly in our Parish.
